Hop&Co. Sizzles with Latest Airfryer Client Victory

The team have worked with Noel Davis in the past

A Cheshire-based PR and marketing agency has added Birkenhead food brand MJ’s Diner to its expanding B2C client roster.

Hop&Co.. is supporting MJ’s Diner with its ground-breaking, first-to-market launch of air-fryer-ready meals to British consumers. The company is owned by 50-year-old Noel Davis who lives in Formby and has over 30 years of experience in food manufacturing and distribution across several different businesses.

  • The idea is to help those who are time-poor and want something that won’t blow their calorie count but is a quick, tasty, and cheap option for an evening meal or breakfast.

The UK’s first air fryer ready meal range includes 14 frozen ready meals specifically developed for the air fryer, including an array of ‘fakeaways’ such as Salt and Pepper Chicken, Katsu Chicken Curry, Kebab, and chip-shop favourites such as Steak Pie and Sausages, Chips and Gravy, with a further five new products on the way.

It is always such a buzz to welcome back an old client and with such exciting news – it is no surprise to me that Noel is leading the way when it comes to innovative meal solutions for British households

The innovative frozen meals, priced between just £1.99 and £2.49, contain everything consumers need for the perfect ‘fakeaway’ in one pack, cook in under 20 minutes, and have fewer calories than ‘ordering in’ – the lowest meal comes in at just 531kcals and every dish in the range is under 915kcals. Already available in Farmfoods, Noel’s own Oops Food Clearance in St Helens, over 300 independent retailers nationwide, and about to hit the shelves in Poundland, Noel is also in talks with the likes of Home Bargains, Morrisons, and Sainsbury’s to supply the air fryer-ready meals.

  • Having previously worked with Noel on the launch of his Oops! discount supermarkets back in 2020, Hop’s MD, Becks Wiper, is thrilled to welcome him back on board for this latest launch. She said: “Sometimes it’s just about timing. I happened to check in with Noel and by chance he needed PR and marketing, and he needed it now. We have reacted very quickly, and we’re already seeing media coverage land, influencers engage, and meals sold.

“It is always such a buzz to welcome back an old client and with such exciting news – it is no surprise to me that Noel is leading the way when it comes to innovative meal solutions for British households. First, he brought us Oops and now it’s air fryer ready meals.

“All of team Hop has tried the range, and we have to say they’re super tasty and what’s more, so quick and easy! We can’t wait to see more noise around these products in the coming weeks.”

Noel Davis, founding director of King Parrot Frozen Food and MJ’s Diner, had this to say: “Having worked with Becks and her team before, it was a no-brainer to partner with her again. The agency has real expertise in food and drink marketing, and I feel like I am in very safe hands.

“They understood the products and what I wanted for the launch really quickly – and seeing results fly in already is just fantastic. Being a ‘first to market’ product – speed is everything, and Hop&Co. has moved at pace. I hope individuals and families across the UK try our range and enjoy saving time, pennies, and calories.”
