EssenceMediacom Welcomes New Chief Media Solutions Officer

Tom Wigley has previously worked at Publicis Media and will lead the agency’s Nexus partnership

EssenceMediacom has appointed a new Chief Media Solutions Officer.

Tom Wigley will be joining GroupM’s newest and largest agency at the end of the month (October 31) and is set to be responsible for GroupM Nexus embedded staff. He will ensure that the agency make full use of Nexus’ resources, tools and solutions as the largest community of performance marking experts.

Brining over a decade of experience with him, Tom joins the team following his previous role as Chief Digital Data and Technology Officer at Spark Foundry. He led Spark Foundry’s approach to all aspects of digital, including digital media, measurement, data and performance and worked with clients including ASDA, Elsevier, and Micron.

Tom is highly experienced in building high-performing digital teams and a thorough understanding of how brands should connect their digital, data and technology capabilities to achieve greater business outcomes. And in his new role, Tom will work closely with Nexus to integrate emerging tools and capabilities that will ‘define the future of digital activation for the business.’

He will sit on the EssenceMediacom Senior Leadership Team and, in collaboration with Nexus leadership, drive best practices within teams, continuing to nurture, develop and retain the best digital talent in the industry.
