Sway PR has won the major brief to deliver media relations for CFL at Heathrow Airport

An award-winning Manchester PR agency has been appointed by CFL, Heathrow Airport’s only express courier handler.

Sway PR will be providing PR services for the courier until the end of 2024, with the aim of delivering crisis communications planning, media training, and media relations services in line with CFL expansion plans.

CFL is owned by global courier operators and airlines, including FedEx, DHL, Skynet and Virgin. It provides export, import and screening services for courier companies and a fully equipped facility for ground handlers and airlines.

Matthew Ware, managing director at CFL, said that Sway PR was the natural choice to support the business, adding: “We needed someone who really understood the business and what we are looking to achieve – and the Sway PR team did just that.

“We work in a very specialist and nuanced industry – Mark and Guy have both taken the time to understand the business and have already added real value with their consultancy. We look forward to working with the Sway PR team to grow awareness, credibility and engagement for us as a business.”

The new contract comes just months after Sway PR expanded into Scotland and added a new head of business PR to the team.

Mark Hayward, managing director at Sway PR, said: “CFL is a fantastic addition to our expanding agency and we look forward to adding real value to the communications and PR strategy for them over the coming year.

  • “Having been founded to improve the processing of express goods through Heathrow, the business is now poised for growth – and we are delighted to join the team to help make that happen.

“We are proud to offer real value to all our clients, something that was recognised this month by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations with a Silver award win at the 2023 CIPR PRide awards.”

CFL joins a growing portfolio of clients at Sway PR, including businesses in the biotech, manufacturing, charity, sport and travel sectors. In addition, Sway PR is actively recruiting to support this growth.
