Towards the end of a very tumultuous 2024, many agencies were unsure how to approach the new year.

“At the end of each year, I used to write a roadmap for the following year. I’m not even going to bother for 2025, because I’ve changed the 2024 plan four times already,” said one agency leader.

“I think it’s incredibly hard for us to set targets because 2024 has gone against the grain,” said another.

“Though next year could burst to life… even between now and Christmas, now that the Budget’s done, there could be quite a lot of marketing directors going to their board saying, ‘Right, can we do that thing now, please? Have you got that money now, please?’”

Now that we’re a few months in to 2025, and approaching the end of the first quarter, is this still the case?

In this quarter’s State of the Nation, we’re checking in and asking you: how are things now? Are you still navigating rocky waters, or is the tide starting to turn?

This session is your chance to share how you’re getting on, and also gain a temperature check of the space with people in this space who really understand – and many of whom can offer advice and help, too.
