The idhl team have volunteered at nine different charities this year

This year the employees at idhl Group have delivered 68 volunteer days across nine charities and raised over £1,100 for charity Zarach.

In what has been a difficult year for most, colleagues at idhl are encouraged to take advantage of their allocated volunteer days to give back to the community.

Group Head of People, Kari Munro, said: “We work very closely with charities across the UK and encourage our teams to come together and collectively do something for organisations working within communities.”

Josh Baranovsky, service desk engineer, had this to say about his volunteering experience: “idhl provided me with the opportunity to get some dirt on my hands, fresh air, and the added bonus of giving back to the local community, all on company time!

“Clearing the Himalayan balsam at The Hollies Garden allowed myself and colleagues to make a difference to the local wildlife, supporting and sustaining the environment in the long term.”

  • “Working as part of the Group IT team, it was especially beneficial to break away from working with tech and prioritising some much-needed time with mother nature! I really enjoyed being part of this experience and would not only encourage my colleagues to take part but also anyone from the local community with a bit of free time to get stuck in.”

This year we also entered two teams in the Leeds Dragon Boat Race and raised £1,100 for Zarach, a charity that work closely with children and families who are living in poverty crisis.”

Charities supported by idhl in 2023 include St Vincent’s Centre, Countryside Rangers, IDAS, Swan Song, Food Cycle Wandsworth Road, Guildford Cricket Festival, RSPB Nature Reserve and Oxfam.
