I’ve been running Agency Hackers for ten years, and the one thing that has never changed is this: agency leaders learn most from each other. It is true in London. It is true in New York and Miami. And I’d bet my last Franzbrötchen it’s true in Hamburg too.
So this November we’re coming to Germany for the very first time, bringing Hamburg’s best independent agency leaders into one room, and we’re not setting the agenda – you are!
We’ll be talking about how AI is transforming agencies, clients taking work in-house, pricing, pipeline, people and more.
As far as I can tell, running an agency in Hamburg comes with exactly the same headaches as running one in London or New York, just with a much better harbour. Whatever you’re facing right now is what we’ll talk about.

Is the event in German or English?
Mostly in German. This is an event for German agencies, so expect the conversation to be in German.
Is it just for Hamburg agencies?
No. It’s for independent agencies from across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Hamburg is just where we’re starting.
What kinds of agencies is it for?
All kinds. Expect a stir-fry of marketing, comms, PR and every other flavour of agency. If you run one, you’ll fit right in.
Who will be there?
Founders and leaders of independent agencies. Essentially, anyone who suffers from agency-related insomnia.
What is Agency Hackers?
Agency Hackers is a community for independent agency owners. We’ve been running events in the UK for ten years, and more recently in New York and Miami, all built on one idea: agency leaders learn most from each other. Hamburg is our first event in Germany, so we’re just getting started here.
Is this a sales event?
No. Nobody is going to pitch you anything. The event is sponsored by Productive, who will give a short talk, and that’s the extent of it. The rest of the afternoon is about meeting and comparing notes with other German agencies.
Will my competitors be in the room?
Possibly. We run the event under strict confidentiality rules, and nothing is recorded, but you may well find yourself sitting next to a competitor. To help you decide what you’re comfortable sharing, we’ll share the guest list (with everyone’s permission) ahead of the event.
Is this a one-off?
No. We’re planning to run Agency Hackers events in Hamburg every quarter, so if you can’t make this one, there’ll be another.
Can I bring a colleague?
Yes, bring your co-founder or a fellow leader. Everybody needs their own ticket, though.
Do I need to be an Agency Hackers member to attend?
No – anyone running or leading an agency is welcome. Members usually get discounted tickets, but you don’t have to be a member to join us.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes! If you can’t make it, you can transfer your ticket to another person in your agency – or another agency leader – at any time. Just let us know who’s coming in your place.
What’s your refund policy?
We don’t offer refunds, but you can transfer your ticket to another event or colleague if you give us notice.
Do you offer group discounts?
Sometimes – especially if you’re bringing your team. Drop us a message and we’ll see what we can do.
Are the sessions recorded?
Currently, we don't record the content. The reason is, people often share confidential matters they don't want to leave the room.
Is there a dress code?
We’re a relaxed crowd. Think “smart casual” or “agency chic”. Just wear whatever you feel comfortable in when you meet new people.
