- More agencies are being pulled into international work, whether it’s a client eyeing expansion or a pitch that spans multiple markets. But once you’re beyond the UK, things get trickier fast: Who can you trust locally? How do you buy media or get reliable insight? How should you manage the brief without blowing the margin?
- It’s the kind of challenge Maddy Park deals with every day. As MD of NewCom Horizons, a Madrid-based agency that partners with independents across the world, Maddy helps UK agencies deliver when the brief goes beyond home turf.
- In this session, we’ll explore what it actually takes to operate internationally as an independent agency. From picking partners to managing margin, you’ll get a real-world look at the opportunities (and headaches) of going global.

- We’re three-quarters through 2025, and agencies are still feeling the strain. Pipelines exist, but they’re slow. Sales cycles drag. Clients are cautious, demanding more value while taking longer to commit.
- It’s not the disaster many feared earlier in the year — but it isn’t smooth sailing either. Stability is creeping in, but competition remains fierce.
- So how’s it looking for you? Is your pipeline moving? Is your team holding up? And how confident are you for the final sprint to December?

- “Agency owners used to think about new business as lead generation. The classic line was, ‘Just get me in front of people and I’ll convert.’ Which was always bollocks – but it’s even more bollocks now.”
- Jeremy Davies has been in the new biz trenches for decades – and he’s watched agencies make the same mistake: treating the first meeting as the finish line. In this session, we’re focusing on lead nurturing – the stuff that happens after the first meeting.
- Jeremy will show you how to build a simple, structured process to stay in touch, stay relevant – and eventually close the work. If you’ve got leads that go quiet after a promising first chat, this session will help you turn warm conversations into real opportunities.

- AI is moving fast. Blink, and the playbook changes. That’s why we’re starting a dedicated AI Working Group: a monthly session where agency leaders compare notes on how they’re actually using AI – in client work, internal processes, tailor-made tools, and everywhere in between.
- Each session, you’ll get together with your peers experimenting at the coalface of AI in agencies. Not consultants, not gurus, but people figuring it out just like you.
- Our AI Working Group meets on the first Tuesday of every month – if you’re interested in being part of it, contact Anne Harlow.

- “If something lands, we haven’t got a clue who’s gonna work on it.”
- Sound familiar? You’re not the only one staring down the barrel of over-capacity and second-guessing when to make your next hire. So, when is the right time to hire – and how do you do it without risking your bottom line?
- Sarah White, co-founder of Smile Digital Talent, sees this dilemma all the time, and in this session, she’ll be on hand to help you find a better understanding of when, and how, you should make that next hire.

- New business is the lifeblood of every agency – but it’s also the hardest thing to get right. That’s why we’re starting a dedicated New Biz Working Group: a monthly session where agency leaders come together to swap strategies, pressure-test ideas, and talk honestly about what’s working – and what isn’t.
- Each session, you’ll join peers facing the same questions you are: How do we keep leads flowing? What channels really work? Where do we waste time? We’ll run breakouts, spotlight stories, and make sure you leave with at least one practical idea to test before the next meet-up.
- Our New Biz Working Group meets on the second Tuesday of every month – if you’re interested in being part of it, contact Anne Harlow.

- When referrals dried up, Silvia del Corso’s instincts kicked in. “We used to get 90% of our work through referrals. When that dried up, I couldn’t sit and wait – I needed to do something. I wanted to make sure I’d done everything I could to change the story.”
- As founder of PinkSEO, Silvia set to work on building a lead generation engine she could rely on.
- In this session Silvia will share how she turned things around, to refocus her agency and rebuild a reliable lead gen engine that’s tried and tested.

- Catherine Warwick knows all about challenging client behaviours. As the client partner for digital agency Numiko, she wanted to get to the bottom of why clients sometimes default to these patterns.
- “If you can uncover the reasons behind those behaviours, you can turn potential friction into collaboration,” she says.
- In this session, Catherine will share how she uncovered the root causes behind tricky client challenges, and turned those insights into practical systems that improve collaboration, reduce friction, and strengthen client relationships.

- Jake Cawdery thought growth meant more – more people, more process, more complexity. But at Curated, that mindset eventually hit a ceiling: £1.2m in revenue, year after year. “Every year we’d set the ambition to grow,” he says. “But each year we’d stay still. Ultimately, we realised we couldn’t keep working the same way.”
- So they stopped chasing scale – and started chasing impact. The result? A more efficient agency, with £134k revenue per head – and a culture focused on outcomes, not overhead.
- If you’re feeling the pressure to grow, or wondering whether your agency structure is really working for you – this is the session for you.

- An employee fed everything into ChatGPT — it spat out a grievance with blue headings, costing the company thousands. A five-minute chat with their manager could’ve solved it.
- For Siobhan Brunwin, founder of Blossom HR Consulting, these AI mishaps are real — from accidentally hiring bots to staff secretly outsourcing jobs.
- In this session, she shares cautionary tales, ethical blind spots, and practical ways to set AI boundaries that work. If your agency lacks an AI policy, now’s the time to act.

- It’s been a while – but speed networking is back!
- Each month, we’ll host this interactive session to get you talking with likeminded people in the community.
- Don’t miss this opportunity to connect, share, and grow with the AH community.
