For many agency leaders, there simply aren’t enough hours in the day.
“As our agency grows, I want to create this machine that survives without me,” she explains. “Ideally in a few years’ time, I want to be able to work 3-4 days a week, but how do you decrease the hours you work when your to-do list never ends?”
Fruto Studio has a remote team of five, so this isn’t the usual question of managing the work-life balance. Rather, Mariana is interested to know how other agency leaders balance their time in the day-to-day running of their businesses – and how they plan to eventually write themselves out of the equation.
“The thing I’m struggling with at the moment is actually having the time and headspace to work on the business. When I’m in the office, all my time can be easily spent in meetings, emails and Slack messages.” she says.
“How do other agency owners manage their time, and is it even realistic to have the flexibility to work reduced hours per week and develop the business, while also being available to the team?”
