Parry Jones, Deputy CEO of The Specialist Works, says this was the case for them.
The agency was founded in 2002 and went through several phases of growth. At each inflection point, different people stepped up.
“With each gradual development, people had to change and adapt to being in a very different business,” says Parry. “ There were some absolute superstars in the early days who were brilliant at getting things off the ground, but the professionalising of the business wasn’t suited for them.”
One of the biggest challenges is making sure the staff you have as you grow are the right people for the right stage.
